Notes from Nicaragua

  1. I loved reading your blog. I am going to Nicaragua in two weeks, can’t wait. The place you stayed at on the beach reminded me of a place I stayed at on a tiny island in Panama last Nov. The hut was actually over the water with the waves crashing under us. I loved seeing and hearing the howler monkeys when I was in Costa Rica so I can’t wait to see them again. Looking forward to reading your next part as I will be going to Granada also. Thanks for posting your “notes”. The pictures are great. I am hoping to get some great pictures also.

  2. Hey Justin, just a quick thank you for the write-up. Sounds like your experience was pretty darn great and thanks for helping overcome the now very much passe ideas that some folks have of what Nicaragua is now. Look forward to reading the rest of your blog.

Hopefully able to return one day .will have 3 days to explore surroundings from arrival till I have to leave for Esteli from Managua…suggestions how to see as much possible and what to see in Nicaragua during these days?!

    1. Hi Deborah, there were no biting insects that bothered us during our time there! Not sure if there are any there, but they’re definitely not a prevalent issue. We had a few bugs in our room from time to time, but that’s to be expected when your room is open to nature as they are here :)
