  1. Omg, I’m in love with your photos, especially the ones from Konigssee. It looks so beautiful there.
The cheese story though.. not so beautiful, haha. I’ve never been a fan of smelly cheese, so I would have backed off right away.

  2. So what a contrast! Stunning area and shitty cheese :) Too funny… I say, because I wasn’t the one that ate it! I probably would have thrown up right there and then!!

  3. Absolutely gorgeous photos from both hikes and yay for the weather permitting such hikes at that time of the year. Sounds like between the highway adventure and your cheese experience it was a memorable few days ;)

  4. The pictures are amazing Justin! I can’t say I’m the biggest fan of cheese. I’ve never quite acquired the taste for ‘fine’ cheese but I can appreciate it from afar! Seems like a great trip.

  5. Just spent a few days in Munich for Oktoberfest, and experienced almost exactly your “shitty” cheese story! Just came across this blog post via google search for “cheese that tastes like shit” in effort to find out what kind of cheese it was and never eat it again! Had a good laugh reliving the experience through your blog post!

  6. Limburger is as close as I got, and it’s from the Northwesterly regions so I doubt it’s the one that you got into. I’ll never forget it. Tastes like the zebra stall at the zoo on cleanout day smells.

  7. Just ran across your trip report. Sounds like a fantastic time. Great pictures as well. Gotta ask…what was the shit smelling cheese so I can try and make sure not to get it?
